On 1 October 1812, Goose Creek Monthly Meeting, Thomas produced a certificate from South River Monthly Meeting to marry Sarah Lewis, the daughter of Joel and Sarah Lewis. They were married at Goose Creek Meeting House (lower) in Bedford County. Hinshaw, Vol. VI, p. 349. On 5 November 1812 at Goose Creek Monthly Meeting Thomas is reported married to Sarah Lewis. Hinshaw, Vol. VI, p. 349. On 7 January 1813, Sarah Lewis was received on certificate from Goose Creek Monthly Meeting, dated 7 January 1813. Hinshaw, Vol. VI, p. 297. They removed to Ohio, for on 10 September 1814 the South River Monthly Meeting granted to Thomas and his wife Sarah a certificate to Center Monthly Meeting in Ohio. Hinshaw, Vol. VI, p. 297.
