      Born in Whitley Co. Kentucky to Moses Parks and Nancy "Davis" Parks. In 1824 married Mary Elizabeth Burgan. By 1830 was living in Hendricks Indiana. Mary Elizabeth and Moses had 10 children. Mary may have died in child birth in 1838. Moses then married Lucinda Nausler in 1840. By 1850 they had moved to Farmersburg, Clayton, Iowa and together they had 13 children for a total of 23 children for Moses. 1870 census shows the family living in Holt, Taylor Co. Iowa.
