Holt, for many years a well known citizen of Clay Co., died at his home near Long Pine, Nebr., 25 July. The remains were brought to Holt, Sun. and interred in the old Antioch burying ground. Services were conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Mitchell. Mr. Holt was a native of N. Carolina and came to Clay about 1845. He served under Gen. Doniphan in the Mexican War. He went to Nebr. in 1883 and was in his 62nd year at death.
