      PIONEER DOCTOR DIES

      Dr. Jacob William Dunham Practiced Medicine in Southern Kansas 40 Years

      Dr. Jacob William Dunham, 67, a physician, died Wednesday at his home, 1201 West Douglas, after a four-day illness. He had practiced medicine in southern Kansas for the last 40 years. He came to Wichita from Wellington in 1907. He was a member of the Spiritualist church.

      Surviving him are his wife, Mary; four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Herrington, Osborne; Mrs. H. I. Whitney, Melver; Mrs. Christobel Phipps, 1929 Gold, and Mrs. Harry Mann, 1927 Gold; three sons, Frank, 1914 North Lorraine; Ralph, at home and Dewey, 1247 South Main; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lay, Tulsa, Okla., and three brothers, Jeptha, Luther, Okla.; Samuel, Tulsa, and Joseph, Okmulgee, Okla.

      Funeral services will be held at the Downing mortuary at 10 a.m. Friday in charge of Rev. Maud K. Gates of the First Spiritualist church. Burial will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
