He was coppersmith and farmer. He built the present Reformed Parsonage. He first located on the eastern half Lot 3, midpoint of the north side of German Street, between King and Church Streets. He sold this property for $4800 on 24 Apr 1814, to James Shepherd. He then bought for $340 the upper part of a lot on the southeastern corner of German and Church Street, where he made copper kettles in the basement. He also owned two farms, one southwest of town bordering Daniel Morgan's Poplar Grove or Rosebrake, and a second toward Moler's Crossroads this side of Linden Spring. Grandson Joseph Shindler BRAGONIER sold the home to the Reformed Church on 1 Apr 1869. In 1830 Conrad had 1 male 15-20, 2 males 20-30; 1 male 50-60; 1 male 90-100; 2 females 15-20; 1 female 20-30; 1 female 40-50, Jefferson Co., VA. In 1850 was listed as a tinner in Shepherdstown, as was son John C. In the household was John S. HARGRAVE, 46, a MSP Minister, and his wife, Charlotte, 48. in 1860, Elizabeth is living with her son John C. in Shepherdstown. Conrad had numerous property dealings in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties, VA. from 1809 to 1843. Conrad Jr. and Elizabeth are buried with 1 dau., and 3 sons in Elmwood Cem., at Shepherdstown. There are numbers of property transactions in the deed books in Charles Town at the court house. None of them have been surveyed for information. . . . Children: . . . [1] John C.
