Dale Robert Duim, 46, of Outlook, WA passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Dale was born on March 8, 1962 in Tacoma, WA the son of Wilbur and Margaret (Bos) Duim.
Dale received his education in Sunnyside, WA graduating with the class of 1980. On August 13, 1981 he married the love of his life, Wanda Atchley in Sunnyside, WA. Dale worked as a hay hauler, on various dairies, for Westenberg Construction, drove truck for LTI Milky Way and was currently driving truck for Pre-Mix of Sunnyside. He was a member of the Outlook Volunteer Fire Department and Teamsters Local 760. Dale was a friend and father to all. He had a heart of gold. He loved to tease, enjoyed outdoor activities and was a jack-of-all-trades. Family was very important to him most of all his children and granddaughter. Patience and understanding were always there, just not in abundance.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Duim of Outlook, WA, one daughter, Dusty Dietz of Outlook, WA and one son, Mitchell Duim and wife, Maria of Sunnyside, WA and one granddaughter, Catlin Dietz and one grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his parents, Wilbur and Margaret Duim of Sunnyside, WA and his father-in-law, Joe Atchley of Moxee, WA, sister, Deanne Reynolds of Chelan, WA and brother, Larry Duim of Seattle, WA, brother in law, Ken Atchley and sister in law Donna (Shane) Baker, numerous and beloved aunts, uncles, nieces Casey (Brandon) Mason, Jessica Reynolds, Hannah Duim, Rylee and Krista Baker, nephew Alex Reynolds cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Wanda L. Atchley. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at the Christian Reformed Church,Sunnyside, WA.
Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
