  Notes	(1) According to Mrs. PFEIFFER's obituary, her first name was Eliscinda. However, according to her tombstone, her first name was Ellacinda. (2) Obituary, The Bremen Enquirer, September 2, 1948, p. 1: MRS. JOHN PFEIFFER. Mrs. John Pfeiffer, eighty-two years old, died at 5:30 oclock this morning at her residence at 232 East North street. Mrs. Pfeiffer's maiden name was Eliscinda Stanley. She was a daughter of George and Eliza (Morris) Stanley and was born in Starke county, Indiana, August 10, 1866. August 24, 1890, she was married to John Pfeiffer, who preceded her in death. Surviving relatives are four daughters, Mrs. Viola Cline of Bourbon, Mrs. Oma Carothers of Bremen, Mrs. Anna Padgett and Mrs. Emma Gilchrist of South Bend; three sons, Forrest Pfeiffer of Rochester, and I. Oliver Pfeiffer and Stanley Pfeiffer of Bremen. She leaves also one brother, Isaac Stanley of Oregon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Salem church. Rev. V. L. Palmer will officiate and burial will be in South Union cemetery.
