Samuel Shepard came over with his brother, being at that time 22 years old, and settled at Cambridge. In 1639 he was one of the superintendents for erecting the first college-building at Cambridge. He returned to England after 1645, and in 1658 was a major, and living in Ireland. His wife's name was Hannah, and his daughter Jane remained here. See Newell, pp. 47, 54, 54; Farmer's Genealog.
