Don was born May 14,1924 in Racine, Wisconsin, son of Elsie (Christensen) and Carl Frost. He graduated from Racine Park High School in 1942. Don served in the Army during World War II. He married Shirley Gladyes on September 3, 1949 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Racine, Wisconsin. Don worked his entire career for Modine Manufacturing in Racine. He started as a draftsman and moved on to become a Design Engineer. He holds many patents on products that Modine still manufactures today. Don was an inventor and designer. He designed their home in Racine, and the two homes they owned in Phoenix. Don also invented the Jiffy-Railer an accessory for model railroaders. Don was a member of La Casa De Cristo Lutheran Church of Scottsdale, Arizona. Don is survived by his son Don Jr. and his wife Lisa of Watertown, Wisconsin and daughter Janet Kolepp and her husband of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Christie (Frost) Vick and husband Dan, Carlie (Frost) Perry and husband Adam, Carl Kolepp and Katie Kolepp; sister- in-law Betsy Ann Frost; niece Kristin (Frost) Hill and husband Rocky; nephew Rusty Gladyes and wife Joyce, LeRoy Mohrbacher and wife Julie, Jamie (Mohrbacher) Doe and her husband Lynn, and Melissa Mohrbacher, Kim (Mohrbacher) Meekma; and very special neighbors Mary and Kevin Scannell. Don was preceded in death by his wife Shirley on February 8, 2013; and also his parents and brother Richard. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2014, La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Memorials may be made to the church.
