(2) http://www.stonefamilyassociation.org: Elizabeth Stone = Thomas Marchant Married 10 9 1700, Slaugham, Sussex Baptised 16 5 1679, Rusper, as daughter of John and Eleanor (TRS ~ SOG SX R / 121)) Buried 13 5 1757, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex (AB) Will 1757 Lewes (3) 1757 Will of ELIZABETH MARCHANT née STONE, ESRO W/A 59.482, wife of THOMAS MARCHANT the diarist In the Name of God Amen I ELIZABETH MARCHANT of Hurstpierpoint in the County of Sussex Widdow being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following first I will and direct that all my just Debts which I shall owe at the time of my Decease together with my Funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied and after payment thereof I give and devise to my Grandson THOMAS MARCHANT the Sum of One Hundred Pounds of Lawfull money of Great Brittain I likewise give to my said Grandson THOMAS MARCHANT all my Household Goods Linnen Plate and Books I likewise give to my Granddaughters Mary Dodson and Ann Dodson the Sum of Fifty Pounds apiece of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be made to them respectively on their respective ages of one and Twenty Years or Days of Marriage which shall first happen and my Will is that no Interest shall be paid for the said Legacys till they are respectively due All the rest and residue of my Estate of what nature and kind soever I give and devise to my Son WILLIAM MARCHANT his Heirs and Assigns forever And do Constitute nominate and appoint my said Son WILLIAM MARCHANT and my said Grandson THOMAS MARCHANT joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this second day of March in the one and twentieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Forty Seven. ELIZ MARCHANT Signed sealed published and declared by the Testatrix and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us and Subscribed by us in the presence of the Testatrix.
