VROOMAN (731 Adam - [318] Jacob W.) was born in Delaware Co., Ohio, April 1831. His father and family moved from there to Lee Co., Ill. David m July 24, 1853, in Iowa, Mary Ann Huff and moved to Minden, Neb. He was a farmer. He and his son, Thomas, were shot by a neighbor, John Williams, who, it is said was in love with David's daughter. We are told that Williams was convicted and sent to the penitentiary. The death of David R. and his son, Thomas Vrooman, occurred Sept. 7, 1895 at Minden, Neb. His wife Mary Ann Huff died at Sheridan, Wyoming in 1912. The family uses one "O" in their name. VROMAN, b in Iowa, 1859, d 1938. She m Thomas Webb Burchell. She d at Indianapolis, Ind. They were m at Minden, Neb. 2055d. MARY M. VROMAN, b Nov. 11, 1861 in Ill. She m Freeman Hesselgrove, Dec. 28, 1877, at Kearney, Neb. He was the son of George Hesselgeove and Ann Millard. 2055e. MATTIE DELIGHT VROMAN, b 1863, m Budd Williams 1895, S[h]e m 2nd Fred Poll in 1905. 2055f. GEORGE WILBUR VROMAN, b in Ill. in 1865. He m Mabel _____ at Edgemont, S. D. He d in 1902. His widow m John Miller and resided in Edgemont. There is a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Lovelade. Res. Omaha, Neb. 2055g. ADDIS GRACE VROMAN, b 1868 in Ill. m James Burchell. 2055h. IRENE ESLIE VROMAN, b May 30, 1875 at Minden, Neb. She m Willard Brown, Dec. 17, 1896. They had a son, Rex P. Brown, who m Alta _____, and they have a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Laxson, Rt. 1, Box 1160, Alberwood Manor, Wash. Children of Irene and Willard Brown: 1. Belle b Mar. 22, 1899. d y. 2. Rex P., b July 8, 1901, m Hazel Alta McCarty, June 22, 1927. 3.
