HARVEY S. BUSS - Nappanee, Indiana. May 11, the funeral of Harvey S. Buss, aged 73, who was found dead under his over-turned tractor at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the South Union Church. Friends may call in the residence.
Mr. Buss was found in a field on his farm, three miles northeast of Nappanee, by Isaac Borders, a passing motorist, who noticed the over-turned tractor and a man trapped beneath. He went to Nappanee for help. It is believed Mr. Buss was killed when the tractor rolled on him about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Born in Ohio, he had spent most of his life in this vicinity. His wife, Jane Pfeiffer Buss, whom he whom he married in 1898, died in 1941. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ren Metzler and Mrs. Sherman Myers of Nappanee; Mrs. Paul Sheets, of Osceola, Indiana, and Mrs. Lester Reprogie, of South Bend; three sons: George, near Nappanee, Russell, of Bremen, Indiana, and Ward L., of Elkhart Indiana, and two sisters, Mrs. Cassie Miller, Goshen, Indiana, and Mrs. Mary Hochstetler, Nappanee.
