DAVID M. ?MIKE? LANG
David M. ?Mike? Lang, 61, of El Dorado, Ark., died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 18, 1945, in Enid, he was the son of Charles and Ruth Williams Lang.
He wed Marva Kay Branen in 1964. Mike worked as an electrician at Champlin Refinery from 1966 until its closing. He then relocated to Smackover, Ark., where he was employed at Cross Refinery. He was most recently employed by Jo-El Electric Co. in El Dorado, Ark. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. He was of the Christian faith and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church of El Dorado.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Merlyn Lang.
Survivors include his wife, Marva Kay Lang of El Dorado; two sons, David Lang and his wife Mikki of Smackover, and Scott Lang and his wife Tammy of Enid. Also surviving are three sisters, Judy McMahan of Garber, Carol Eck of Fairmont and Betty Plunkett of Belize; and four grandsons, Dillon and Devin of Smackover, and Caleb and Cameron of Enid.
The family would like to invite friends and family to a casual memorial service and visitation at the Hoover Building from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25. Come prepared to share memories and stories you may have about Mike.
