Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Huff's Funeral Home for Ervin W. Huff, eighty-three years old, who died in Community Hospital early Thursday, Feb. 25, after an illness of only a few days.
Rev. C. L. Hendrix, pastor of Grace Evangelical United Brethren church, officiated in the funeral services and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
Mr. Huff was the son of William and Eliza Huff and was born in Bremen Feb. 22, 1871. He had spent his entire life in this community. He waa married to Cora Helsel, who preceded him in death in 1934.
Surviving are one son and three dayghters, Paul Huff of Mishawaka, Mrs. Verna Neusbaum of Vincennes, Mrs. Kathleen Parrow of Bremen, and Miss Gretchen Huff of Washington, D. C. There are four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
During his younger years Mr. Huff was in business in Bremen, operating a buggy and implement business and being for years associated with the Huff hardware store. He was a cornetist in the old Bremen band fifty years ago and played for a time with the
Gentry Brothers circus band.
Among the relatives and friends from a distance who were in Bremen because of the death of Ervin Huff and to attend the funeral Sunday afternoon were Major and Mrs. Orville Enders of Dayton.
