Sarah Van Brugh Livingston, daughter of William and Susannah (French) Livingston . . . , was born 2 August 1756 and married 28 April 1774 at "Liberty Hall" Elizabethtown, N. J. Hon. John Jay, who was born New York City 12 December 1745 and died at Bedford, N. Y. 17 May 1829, the son of Peter and Mary (Van Cortlandt) Jay.
Issue: (Surname Jay)
i. Peter Augustus, b. 24 Jan. 1776; m. Mary Rutherfurd Clarkson.
ii. Maria, b. 20 Feb. 1782; m. 22 Apr. 1801 Goldsborough Banyer, who died in 1806. She died 1858 without issue.
iii. Anna, b. 1783; d. unmarried 1856.
iv. William, b. 16 June 1789; m. Hannah Augusta McVickar.
