(3) Tombaugh, Jean C. and Wendell C., Fulton County Indiana Obituaries 1919?Rochester Sentinel, Rochester, IN: 1998: Tuesday, May 20, 1919 Benjamin Willis COPLEN, 49, died Monday evening at seven o?clock at his home in Clovis, N.M., a victim of blood poisoning, according to word received by his sisters, Mrs. Sabitha MOW and Mrs. Rene RUSSELL, of this city. Coplen was well known in this city where he had charge of the Western Union office for a period of two years. The body will be brot [sic] to Rochester for burial. R. POFF, of New York, Mrs. Wm. BUEHLER, of Richland Center, Miss Cleo BRETZ, of Hammond, and Mrs. Sam SHOBE and son, of Plymouth. [Note by compiler: It appears from the two news articles set forth above that "Mrs. Sabitha MOW" and "Mrs. Sabitha FERREE" were the same person.] (4) Tombaugh, Jean C. and Wendell C., Fulton County Indiana Obituaries 1930?Rochester News-Sentinel, Rochester, IN: 1996: Saturday, March 1, 1930 Mrs. Sabitha [COPLEN] CLARY, aged 73, passed away at 6:30 Saturday morning at her home on West 4th street, this city. Death resulted from a stroke of paralysis which the aged lady suffered last Tuesday. Mrs. Clary had been a resident of Rochester and vicinity all of her life. The deceased husband, Elbert H. CLARY, preceded her in death last July. Mrs. Clary, who was a member of the Rochester United Brethren church, is survived by the following relatives: three sisters, Mrs. Sam FRIEND, of Talma; Mrs. Tena BEEHLER, of Richland Center; Mrs. Marion POSS, of New York; two brothers, Simon COPLEN, of Logansport; Hiram COPLEN, of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral arrangements were not available at press time today.
