McKillip, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska. She was born in Hayes County, Nebraska, to Reese and Edith (Green) Evans on Dec. 25, 1918. She attended rural school through the ninth grade in Hayes Center. She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lonnie Trusty; brothers, Herschel Evans and Erlin Evans; and her husbands. She is survived by her three sons, Dwight Trusty and wife, Mikae of Hayes Center, NE, Michael "Bruce" Kathrens of Hayes Center, NE, and Kevin Heinrich and wife, Karla of Raymore, MO; sister, Mary Brown of San Diego, CA; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hayes Center, Nebraska, with the Rev. Fay Ann Blaylock officiating.
