Mrs. Clark was an underwriter at Carol Insurance Agency in Shreveport, La., for eight years. She was an office and underwriting manager in excess surplus lines coverages for 18 years for the Blakely General Agency and 10 years for the Alliance Insurance Cos. She also owned and operated Frost Hauling for nine years before she retired in 1995. She was born May 13, 1932, in Topeka, the daughter of Ira Delmer and Carrie Mae Wilder Frost. She attended Topeka High School. She married Earnest Cook in February 1950 in Bossier City, La. They were divorced. She married James Leslie Dowell in 1961. He preceded her in death. She married Daryl E. Clark in August 1976. They were divorced. Survivors include four sons, Robert Earnest Cook, Chicago, Donald Wesley Cook, Wakarusa, Terrance Wayne Cook, Eskridge, and James Leslie Dowell Jr., Topeka; two sisters, Marilyn Kay Clark, Stuart, Fla., and Elvira Mae Jones, Buckley, Wash.; a brother, Clarence Leroy Frost, Herington; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Clark will lie in state after 10 a.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel where visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 S.W.
