Jones of Dover died Wednesday at his home. He was 64. Mr. Jones was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Wilkes Barre, Pa., to the late Kentley R. Jones and Ruth S. Semmens. He served from 1964-1967 in the U.S. Army, reenlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and retired in 1993. After his retirement from the service, he went to work for Culligan Water as a salesman from 1994 until 2005. A natural storyteller, Mr. Jones loved talking to people, and anyone who met him was treated to tales of his children and grandchildren, his love of cars and the pride he felt in serving his country. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Baily Jones of Dover; his son, Neil C. Jones, and his wife Alissa of Baltimore; his daughter, Heather L. Mann, and her husband Dale of Dover; his brother, William Kentley Jones, and his wife Nelda of Sarasota, Fla.; his sister, Sandra Pritchard, and her husband Jack of Nokomis, Fla.; and his two grandchildren, Carter and Baily Mann. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 11, 2009, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), in Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Pa.
