      OBITUARY

      "Eva LaNora Clark was born in Ohio July 20, 1860, and departed this life March 20, 1918, aged 57 years and 8 months. At the age of four years she, with her parents, moved to Marshall county, Ind. where they resided until the death of her parents, after which she found a home with Geo. Miller, of near Bethel.

      On Dec. 25, 1881, she was united in marriage to Marion L. Mow. To this union were born five children, whom survive and with the father mourn the loss of a kind and loving companion and mother. The boys' names are Clarence Lacell, residing in Michigan; Dall[a]s Clayton, Charles Clyde, Calvin Dean, also of Michigan; and Leo Clark. She is also the foster mother of Bernice Clark, a niece whose mother died and left her in infancy.

      She also leaves to mourn her departure a half-sister, Hattie Steward, of Marshall county and four brothers, Charles, of Oregon; Calvin, William and Thomas, of Fulton county.

      When yet in her youth she was converted to God and united with the Methodist church at Bethel and has lived a Christian life until she passed to her reward.

      After moving to the present home, she with her husband, who was also a member of the same church, transferred their membership to the Grandview Church where she was an active member for 22 years.

      She has always been deeply interested in the spiritual and moral welfare of her boys as well as otherwise and the neighbors were remembered in her prayers. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her, and the church will miss a faithful member. But what the church militant has lost the church triumphant has gained.

      I know not what the future hath,
      Of marvel or surprise;
      Assured alone that life and death,
      His mercies underlines.

      And so beside the silent sea,
      I wait the muffled oar;
      No harm from Him can come to me,
      On ocean or on shore.
