James Malbone will officiate and burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Brofford died at noon Sunday at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born July 31, 1927 in Indiana to Ralph and Ruth WRIGHT AULT. On May 4, 1946 in Jackson County, Ohio, she married Asa Brofford, Sr., who died May 19, 1985. She was employed at Wen Products, Akron. Surviving are two daughters, Jo Ann Hoffman, Akron and Peggy Brofford, South Bend; a son, Asa R. Brofford, Jr., Akron; five grandchildren, Todd, Lori, Corey, Aaron and Kevin; four sisters; Virginia Eads, Bourbon; Nancy Stiles, Talma; Ethel Wrockladge, Delphos, Ohio, and Alice Richardson, Wabash, and two brothers, Arlon Ault, Tippecanoe, and Calvin Ringle, Akron. Two sisters preceded in death." (Note) The "Akron" referred to in the obituary is Akron, IN in Fulton County. Arlon Ault, Edna's brother, wrote to Wilma FOLTZ that Edna Katherine and Asa Brofford were married 04 MAY 1945.
