      ELFA LANG

      The funeral services for Elfa (Hale) Lang, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with the Rev. Lucinda Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in North I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Marshall under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

      She was born Dec. 10, 1913, in Southeast Garfield County to Don and Edna DeBell Hale and died Sunday, June 2, 1996, in St. Mary's Mercy Hospital.

      She attended school at Bethel and graduated from Marshall High School and also from Beach's Beauty College. In 1934 she married Donald Cassaday at Perry. He preceded her in death in 1962. She moved to Enid in 1963, and in 1964 she married Charles Lang. He preceded her in death in 1986.

      She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S., Dramatic Art Club and Meadowlake Women's Golf Association.

      Surviving are one son, Robert Cassaday of Enid; three sisters, Evelyn Frederick of Joplin, Mo., Vergie Brown of Enid, and Lois Norris of Philadelphia, Pa.; four brothers, Joe Hale of Purcell, Bill Hale of Gain[e]sville, Texas, Dick Hale of Pampa, Texas, and Bob Hale of Sand Springs; one granddaughter, and four step-children.

      Besides both husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

      Expresses our heartfelt thanks to our dear friends and neighbors, for your sympathy and many kndnesses during the hospitalization and passing of our mother, sister and grandmother.

      We will always remember the ICU staff, who exceeded their role and gave Elfa kind attention and us sincere support, in her final hours here. Our thanks to Dr. Washburn, Dr. Martin and Dr. Selby as well as other wonderful care-givers at St. Mary's Mercy Health Center. We appreciate your excellent care.

      Thanks also to Reverend Lucinda Holmes and the First United Methodist Church for ongoing spiritual support and a lovely meal.
