They had come from Henery [sic] County, Iowa in the early settlement of Oklahoma. Roy, making his run for a farm in Beaver County, staking his claim, and living in a dug out. . . . Roy later moved to Enid and worked for the Santa Fe railroad, and in Hillsdale as well. He had never married. He met a lady that had three children, 2 boys and a girl.
