      8 THOMAS LINE

      SECOND GENERATION

8 THOMAS FROST, son of Edmund and Thomasine, born in Cambridge about 1647; was a private in Capt. Joseph Sill's company of militia. Captain Sill was ordered by Major Gookin to take charge of the soldiers raised in Cambridge, Watertown and Charlestown, Mass., and go out against the enemy. As this order was issued Nov. 2, 1675, it is probable that Captain Sill's company took part in the hard winter campaign that resulted in the capture and destruction of the Narragansett fortress in December of that year.

Mr. Frost married in Sudbury, Nov. 12, 1678, widow MARY GOODRIDGE. She was the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Bradish) Gibbs. She married, March 23, 1674, JOHN GOODRIDGE She died in Sudbury, Feb. 20, 1690-1. Thomas Frost's second wife was HANNAH JOHNSON of Sudbury, whom he married July 9, 1691, and who died May 3, 1712. She was probably the daughter of Solomon and Hannah Johnson, born Apr. 27, 1656. Mr. Frost married third wife, SARAH SINGLETARY, Dec. 12, 1712. His will was proved in 1724, which was probably the year of his death.

He had five children, all except the last, by his first wife, Mary.
