      HENRY HANSLAP, of Aynho, Northampton, and of AA Co., MD, son of Thomas . . . and Mary, was bapt. 9 Nov 1635 at Aynho, and died 30 Sep 1698 at All Hallows Parish, AA Co., and was bur. in the parish churchyard (AACR:8). He m. Elizabeth (N) who was buried at All Hallow's on 22 Jan 1702 (AACR:14).

      Henry Hanslap was transported to Md. by 7 Oct 1676, and in 1679 he claimed 600 acres of land for his own transportation and that of 11 others, all of whom came in the "Hound," of London. (TMFO).

      On 18 June 1678 he was commissioned Coroner of AA Co. He also served as High Sheriff from 30 May 1685 to 12 May 1687. In Sep 1689 he was commissioned captain of the foot (militia). Among his lands were 300 a. Hanslap's Range (surveyed 20 Aug 1680), 400 a. Aynho (surv. 3 Sep 1682), and 1000 acres, Come By Chance.

      His will was dated 1697 and proved 23 Oct 1698. He named his grandsons Samuel Batty and Henry Chew, his wife Eliza, only son Joseph, and dau. Susanna, son-in-law Benjamin Wells who m. Hanslap's dec. daughter Frances, and dau. Eliza, now wife of Joseph Chew.

      Henry Hanslap was the father of: JOSEPH; FRANCES, d. by 1697, m. Benjamin Wells; ELIZA, m. Joseph Chew, and SUSANNA.
