      DAVID R. FROST DEAD

      David R. Frost died Wednesday night at 9:30 at his home, 214 South Merchant Street. Death resulted from a complication of diseases with which he had suffered for years.

      He was born February 27, 1846, in Knox County, Ohio. He came to Kansas when a child with his parents. He enlisted in October, 1863, in Company E, Eleventh Kansas Volunteer Cavalry, and was mustered out June 6, 1865, at Fort Riley, Kan. He was a member of Post 464, Grand Army of the Republic.

      Mr. Frost was married October 12, 1873, at Americus, to Miss Lottie C. Taylor, who survives him. Besides Mrs. Frost, he is survived by four children, Mrs. Lee Van Gundy, of Fresno, Calif; [and] Mrs. A. D. Jones, Lee and Guy Frost, of Emporia, all of whom were at the family home when death came. There are seven grandchildren, three brothers, Milton Frost, of Topeka; Merritt Frost, of Admire, Timothy Frost, of Americus; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Jaquith, of Americus, and Mrs. A. D. Shockley, of South Dakota.

      FUNERAL OF DAVID R. FROST

      The funeral services of David R. Frost, conducted by Rev. D. Y. Donaldson, assisted by Grand Army Post 464, the Ladies of the G.A.R., and the members of the old Eleventh Kansas Regiment, were held Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock in the First Christian Church. Miss Ora Quisenberry sang, and Eli Fowler, R. B. Edwards, George Plumb, A. B. Veatch, Isaac Newell and Dorris Fowler were pallbearers. Interment was made in the Frost Cemetery, twelve miles north of Emporia.
