(2) A household headed by Matthew PARK is listed in the 1820 census of Charlestown, Clark County, IN, next to a household headed by Joseph PARK. (Also listed on the same census page is a household headed by Margaret PARK. Another household headed by a PARK is listed on the immediately preceding census page - a household headed by John PARK.)
Listed in Matthew's household are 1 free white male between 16 and 26 years of age; 1 free white male over 45 years of age; and 1 free white female over 45 years of age.
Assuming that Matthew is the free white male listed in the 1820 census as then being over 45 years of age, he would have been born before 1775, according to the 1820 census.
Assuming that Matthew's wife is the free white female listed in the 1820 census as then being over 45 years of age, she would have been born before 1775, according to the 1820 census.
Assuming that the other person in Matthew's household is a child of Matthew and/or his wife, that child would have consisted of a son (which son would have been born between 1794 and 1804, according to the 1820 census).

Parks, Mathew. Will dated July 29, 1822; probated August 12, 1822. Heirs: sister Isabel; John Perry; Mathew Parks, Jr.; Jane Brewer, daughter of Benjamin Brewer; heirs of brother Joseph Parks, namely, Mathew, Stephen, John, Prisse [?], Andrew, Samuel, Willis; heirs of brother John Parks, namely, Elizabeth and Lewie [?]; John Parks, son, and Peggy Parks, widow of brother Andrew Parks. No executor named. Witnesses: John Carr, Bazel Bowel. Joseph Parks appointed administrator [with the will annexed] (ibid., 234-36)
(5) The will of Matthew Parks, Sr. is hard to read, and the compiler is not certain that he has read it correctly. However, the will appears to provide as follows:
• Two bequests are made to the testator's sister, Isabel. (Isabel may have been the same person as Isabella (PARKS) PERRY, the step-mother of John PERRY, who was a beneficiary under the will.)
• A bequest is made to John PERRY. (John's step-mother was Isabella (PARKS) PERRY, and John's wife was Amy Emma PARKS.)
• A bequest is made to Mathew PARKS, Jr.
• A bequest is made to a Francis [?] PARKS, a son of Joseph PARKS.
• A bequest is made to Stephen PARKS, a son of Joseph PARKS.
• A bequest is made to Peggy PARKS, the widow of Andrew PARKS, deceased.
• A bequest is made to Elizabeth PARKS, a daughter of the testator's brother, John PARKS.
• A bequest is made to Louisa [?] PARKS, a daughter of the testator's brother, John PARKS.
• A bequest is made to Jane BREWER, a daughter of Benjamin BREWER. (Benjamin was married, first, to Sarah PARKS.)
• A bequest is made to the heirs of the testator's brother, Joseph PARKS: Mathew, Stephen, John [?], _____ [?], _____ [?], Samuel and Willis. [Although it might appear from this bequest that the testator's brother, Joseph PARKS, was deceased when the will was executed, a later bequest is made to Joseph.]
• A bequest is made to the heirs of the testator's brother, John PARKS: Elizabeth and Lewis. [Although it might appear from this bequest that the testator's brother, John PARKS, was deceased when the will was executed, a later bequest is made to John.]
• A bequest is made to John PARKS, heir of the testator's brother, Andrew PARKS, deceased.
• A bequest is made to the testator's brother, Joseph PARKS.
• A bequest is made to the testator's brother, John PARKS.
