      This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Marchant of Seal in the County of Kend Widow ffirst and most principally I commend my immortal Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter name And as to such Worldly Estate as it pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows (that is to say) In the first I order and direct that all such just Debts as I shall owe at the time of my death my ffuneral Expenses the Charges of proving of this Will and all other incidental costs Charges and Expenses shall be paid and satisfied by my Executors with all convenient Speed after my decease And I give and devise unto Zebulon Hards of Seal aforesaid Bricklayer and his heirs All that my individual Moiety or half part and all other my Parts and shares of and in all that Messuage or Tenement in two Dwellings with the Buildings Lands and Hereditaments thereto belonging and the appurtenances which were given and devised to me in and by the last Will and Testament of my late husband Robert Marchant deceased situate lying and being in the Town of Seal aforesaid in the said County of Kent and now in the tenure or occupation of myself and James Hook and all other my Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold the same Premises unto and to the use of the said Zebulon Hards and his Heirs and Assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath to my _____ John Hoare of Chiddingstone in the County of Kent husbandman the Sum of ffifty pounds of lawful English Money to be paid to him by my Executors within three Months next after my decease But in case the said John Hoare shall not be then living I do in that Event give and bequeath the same Sum of ffifty pounds unto Sarah the Wife of the said John Hoare to be paid within three Months after my decease And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Money and Securities for Money Money in the public ffunds or Stocks Bonds Bills Notes and also all my household goods plate Linen China Beds Bedding and ffurniture of every description and also all and singular other my Chattels Effects and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto the said Zebulon Hards but in case he die in my lifetime then I give the same unto Sarah his Wife as and for her own proper Goods and Chattels for ever And lastly I do hereby make constitute and appoint the said Zebulon Hards and John Corke of Seal aforesaid carpenter joint Executors of this my Will and hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills be me at any time heretofore made I declare this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Sarah Marchant the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of Paper set my hand and Seal (that is to say) to the first sheet hereof my hand and to this second and last sheet my hand and Seal this twenty second day of June One thousand Eight hundred and thirteen.
