William J. Myers (1830-1907), a shoemaker, living "one mile north of town on the pike," came to Fulton Co Ind from Summit Co Ohio.
He was (1st) m. to Lovina Coleman (1830 - September 22, 18967 [sic] (see Rochester Sentinel, Fri. Sept. 25, 1896, obit: Lovina Coleman). Mr. Myers had left his wife in the kitchen to peel some potatoes for supper while he cut corn. He returned in about an hour, and found her burned to death - her clothing having caught fire. She was 66 years old and the mother of Leroy Myers, the barber, and of Allan Myers, the carpenter. . . .
