Aaron French located at Ghent in Sheshequin [Township, Bradford County, PA], 1823. His wife was Mary Myers, and their children, Sarah (1st, Mrs. Joseph E. Skinner, 2nd, Mrs. Merritt Middaugh), Esther (Mrs. John Sheeler), Margaret (Mrs. James Culver), Naomi (Mrs. John Tompkins), Catherine (Mrs. Archibald Sheeler), Walter, Abisha and Aaron. Mr. French died January 1, 1851, aged nearly 84 years and his wife, Dec. 6, 1863, in her 86th year.

      (3) A household headed by Aaron FRENCH is listed in the 1820 census of Wayne County, PA.

Listed in Aaron's household are 3 free white males under 10 years of age; 1 free white male between 16 and 26 years of age; 1 free white male over 45 years of age; 1 free white female under 10 years of age; 2 free white females between 10 and 16 years of age; 1 free white female between 16 and 26 years of age; 1 free white female between 26 and 45 years of age; and 1 free white female over 45 years of age.

Assuming that Aaron is the free white male listed in the 1820 census as then being over 45 years of age, he would have been born before 1775, acccording to the 1820 census.

The free white male listed in the 1820 census as then being over 45 years of age may have then been too old to have been Aaron's wife. However, she could have been related to Aaron and/or his wife.

Assuming that Aaron's wife is the free white female listed in the 1820 census as then being between 26 and 45 years of age, she would have been born between 1775 and 1794, according to the 1820 census.

Assuming that the other persons in Aaron's household are children of Aaron and/or his wife, those children would have consisted of four sons (one of which sons would have been born between 1794 and 1804, and three of which sons would have been born between 1810 and 1820, according to the 1820 census) and four daughters (one of which daughters would have been born between 1794 and 1804, two of which daughters would have been born between 1804 and 1810, and one of which daughters would have been born between 1810 and 1820, according to the 1820 census).

      (4) A household headed by Aron FRENCH is listed in the 1830 census of Sheshequin Township, Bradford County, PA.

Listed in Aron's household are 1 free white male between 5 and 10 years of age; 2 free white males between 15 and 20 years of age; 1 free white male between 50 and 60 years of age; 1 free white female between 10 and 15 years of age; 1 free white female between 20 and 30 years of age; 1 free white female between 40 and 50 years of age; and 1 free white female between 90 and 100 years of age.

Assuming that Aron is the free white male listed in the 1830 census as then being between 50 and 60 years of age, he would have been born between 1770 and 1780, according to the 1830 census.

The free white female listed in the 1830 census as then being between 90 and 100 years of age seems to have then been too old to have been Aron's wife. However, she could have been related to Aron and/or his wife.

Assuming that Aron's wife is the free white female listed in the 1830 census as then being between 40 and 50 years of age, she would have been born between 1780 and 1790, according to the 1830 census.

Assuming that the other persons in Aron's household are children of Aron and/or his wife, those children would have consisted of three sons (two of which sons would have been born between 1810 and 1815, and one of which sons would have been born between 1820 and 1825, according to the 1830 census) and two daughters (one of which daughters would have been born between 1800 and 1810, and one of which daughters would have been born between 1815 and 1820, according to the 1830 census].

      (5) A household headed by Aaron FRENCH is listed in the 1850 census of Sheshequin Township, Bradford County, PA.

Aaron is listed in the 1850 census as a farmer who was then 85 years of age; therefore, according to the 1850 census, he was born in about 1765. According to the 1850 census, he was born in NJ.

Listed with Aaron is his wife, Mary, who was then 78 years of age; therefore, according to the 1850 census, she was born in about 1772. According to the 1850 census, she was born in NJ.

Also listed with Aaron is Anthony MEADOW, who was then 3 years of age; therefore, according to the 1850 census, he was born in about 1847. According to the 1850 census, he was born in PA. The relationship, if any, between Aaron and Anthony MEADOW is not listed in the 1850 census.
