Mrs Rebecca Winchell, after an illness of several weeks died at the home of her daughter Mrs J. M. Frost at Princeton on the eighth inst., at the ripe old age of 78 years, 8 months, 4 days. The funeral services were held from the G. W. Acre home, West of Unionville on the 15th, Rev. R. E. L. Prunty, by her request, delivering the discourse.
Mrs Winchell was one of Putnam County oldest and most respected residents - a woman of incessant energy, kind and gracious, she was very generally esteemed and loved. She wasa consistant and faithful member of the Christian Church. Mrs. G. W. Acre and Mrs. J. M. Frost, daughters, and David Winchell, son, are the surviving members of her family, two sons having died.
The sorrow that fills the heart of the bereaved relatives finds a sympathizing response throughtout the community. A good woman is gone, a loving life has gone out. May she rest in peace and may she enjoy the reward of one who has lived to a good purpose.
